How do you ensure your food is safe?Updated 9 days ago
We ensure the safety and quality of our food through rigorous measures at every step. All our meats come from USDA-approved farmers who meet strict standards. For poultry, we work with suppliers under the National Poultry Improvement Plan (NPIP), which requires testing to confirm flocks are disease-free, including free from avian flu, before harvesting.
Our food is prepared in USDA-certified and inspected facilities that uphold the same safety standards as the human food supply. Additionally, we use High-Pressure Processing (HPP), an advanced technology that eliminates pathogens like salmonella, listeria, and E. coli while preserving the nutritional value of our meals. Research shows HPP is also effective in managing avian flu pathogens.
To maintain the highest standards, we follow strict HACCP protocols, including routine quality checks, deep cleaning, and high-pressure washing. At home, we recommend practicing safe food handling: wash your hands before and after serving, clean bowls and surfaces after each feeding, and discard thawed food after 48 hours.
